"I
have known Dave Brown as a Fly shop owner for a few years now. This
year we decided to take a guided trip with Dave on the Bow. What an
experience we had a fantastic day and learned alot about the river.
I know who I would fish the Bow with."
Douglas Walker DVM
"My guided trip on the Bow River was awesome. Two of us stuck
at least 35 fish and boated 20 - 25 fish in the 16"
to 22" range. Our guide, Dave Brown, was a pleasure to fish with and is extremely knowledgeable
about the river and productive techniques. I learned a lot, caught some great fish, and relaxed.
What more can you ask for!"

"Every year I make
sure my travel schedule includes a stop in Fernie, B.C. to fish and
visit with Dave Brown. It's always a fun time and my annual Fly Fishing
Dreams Calendar reflects the great scenery and wonderful trout rivers
and streams of this gorgeous area."

"We have fished all over the world with Guides as varied as the waters we
have fished, for the last 8 years our annual trip to S.W.Alberta and S.E British Columbia is the trip
that we look forward to the most. This region is one of the worlds greatest Flyfishing destinations and
The Elk River Angler is easily one of the worlds top Guide Services We highly recommend Dave Brown and
his guide team to anyone wanting to fish Alberta & British Columbia."

"We have fished
the rivers and streams of southern British Columbia and Alberta with
Dave Brown for several years. We now fish over one hundred days a year
and still look forward to fishing with Dave because of his guiding skills
and his never-ending sense of humor. Each year he's been able to introduce
us to some new, highly productive water that's unknown to the general
fishing community
His love and knowledge of nature, the environment and the sport of fly
fishing adds even more to each trip for those who have the opportunity
to fish with Dave; he is truly a credit to his profession."

"I've fished with
Dave Brown for as long as he's guided on the Elk River and I just booked
another trip for this year. If I remember right, I was his first client
on the Elk and I've been back every season but one since then. (I don't
know what happened that year. I must have temporarily lost my mind.)
Dave has all the skill and enthusiasm you could ask for in a guide and
the Elk has the kind of fishing I can't resist: high mountains, beautiful
water and wild native trout on the dry fly. What more can I say?"

"One of the finest
guides on the planet is Dave Brown in Fernie, B.C. One of the finest
rivers to flyfish for native Cutthroat is the Elk River, which flows
through Fernie. No one should attempt to experience one without the
other! I consider my annual trip to B.C. to fish the Elk with Dave to
be the highlight of my summer."

"Dave and
Adam,
I'd like to thank both of you for the last week on the Elk River and the surrounding area. The guides
that we had, Ned and Kirk, were knowledgeable and were good to spend a day with. Ned, particularly, did
a very good job working with my son (at the expense of my drifts, albeit. The sacrifices of a father,
I guess).
We spent several other days on the elk and the surrounding lakes at the advice of you and your guides
and had a very good time. It's definitely a 'do-over'.
Thanks again and I look forward to next summer..."

"I commanded 2nd Airborne Commando of the Canadian Airborne Regiment for two
years (1984 to 1986). I still feel extremely proud and honored to have been selected to lead such a dedicated
and highly professional group of warriors.
2 Commando had a fierce professional reputation, gleaned from their performance during the Cypriot War
in 1974 and maintained through the toughest of training and exercises activities that the Canadian army
could experience. Each paratrooper was expected to be a total team player but also to be able to be an
army of one if he were separated from the unit during a parachute insertion.
If I were to hold up one individual as the epitome of the 2 Commando warriors,
that man would be Dave Brown. Dave or "Super Dave" as he was nicknamed was one of my toughest and brightest soldiers. I remember
him most for his infectious enthusiasm, absolute dedication to the unit and his great sense of humor.
I valued his loyalty to me greatly. He was not the type of guy who told you what he thought you wanted
to hear – his advice was always totally and sometimes brutally honest.
That is why I selected him to be my body guard and radio operator. When
the going got tough, I wanted the toughest, brightest and most dependable
close at hand.
I was proud of Dave then and I am proud of him today. His first passion
was to the Commando and being a paratrooper, but a close second was his
love of the sport of Flyfishing. I have great memories of Dave, my Sergeant
Major and myself relaxing and fishing during short breaks in our busy
training schedule. Dave has moved on to civilian life and has applied
his abundant enthusiasm, dedication and professionalism to the art and
sport of Fly fishing and Upland Bird Hunting. Outdoors enthusiasts could
not be in better hands."
Colonel Ronald P. Bragdon
Canadian Armed Forces Retd.
"Dave,
Just wanted to say thanks for arranging the outings on the Bow, Elk and
?????? Creek. I can see why they are great rivers and I will be back.
If any of my fly fishing buddies wants to head your way, I'll give them
your name."
