Friends,
As we move into mid –February cabin fever
sets in even more, I can’t wait to get out
on the water! Flies are being tied and the latest
and greatest in tackle being drooled over and sometimes
being purchased.
The 2008 season is shaping up, we will be conducting
4 Royal Canadian Pacific Fly-fishing excursions
this year, plus our programs out of Fernie, Winlaw,
Calgary and the Anchor B Ranch.
We have also added two “new” rivers
to our list, The Columbia and the Slocan Rivers
which are located 3 hours west of Fernie B.C. both
are excellent rainbow fisheries, we are truly excited
about this!
Snow pack in the Canadian Rockies is looking
very good; we will have a much needed “runoff” and
great flows throughout the entire season!
Jim McLennan’s New Book --- Water
Marks
I am very fortunate to be able to
say my good friend and noted Canadian
Fly-fishing and Wing shooting author Jim McLennan
has just released his fourth book titled Water Marks,
which is a collection of essays and photographs
of his work from 1981 to 2007, Jim’s
work has graced the pages of Fly-Fisherman Magazine,
Gray’s Sporting Journal, Pointing
Dog Journal and numerous Canadian Magazines; it’s
safe to say when it comes to these two great topics,
Jim is the best writer/photographer in Canada and

Lisa and I will be attending the I.S.E show in
Phoenix (March 7th, 8th and 9th) our booth is located
along the casting pond, making us easy to find
and allowing me to try out a whole bunch of new
fly rods !
This past weekend we attended the
first ever Fly-fishing and Wing shooting show in
Charlotte NC, DBO was very well received on both
fronts
