Reality Check We came thru the Arizona Quail Season relatively un scathed.Some seasons it’s a continuous trip to the Vet. Thankfully This year no dogs where hit by rattlesnakes ,mauled over by Javelinas or picked up Valley Fever.Last week Dot was running a temp so in she went,then came home with a weeks worth of antibiotics things seemed good as she was back to her usual self.Until two days ago when she quit eating and was running a 104 temp.In she went again but this time there was an abscess forming on her side which was drained.The morrow of the story is there is a lot of shit in the Desert that will mess a dog up.As Desert Dog Owners we need to be “aware” of any behavior changes such as not eating and being lethargic then get the dog to your Vet. #publicserviceannouncement #caninehealth #desertdogs #englishpointers ...

Belle and Buddy relocated uphill for over a 100 yards and finally connected with this large running covey of Mearns Quail.You can’t “teach” this stuff to your dog it’s all about getting them into wild birds and letting them figure out what’s going on.
