Recently we have been guiding a lot of first time fly-fishers,we like that as everything is fresh and new.Keep em coming we say the future of the sport and conservation of our cold water resources needs some fresh blood. Along with catching a few fish, beginners seem to really appreciate the solitude and spending time with friends.

Their expectations are not tarnished by 24 inch browns on trico spinners ,a 14 inch Cutty on a Chubby easily suffices every if it dragged.Over lining a rod seems to get a new fly-fisher casting better, and getting them to keep the fly ahead of the boat is a lot easier than a “veteran” who may have some bad habits, fishing with the newbies is both fresh and rewarding.

Plant the seed and hope it grows ,maybe the next Lefty Kreh or Joan Wulff might be riding in the boat..you never know.
