The last couple of days of have been spent on the Missouri River with some good friends from Calgary AB.As usual the mighty Mo is her usual generous self. The Caddis are just starting to hatch so our game plan has been a mix of fishing Pupae then switching to Dry Flies once noses are spotted.

It’s been a great start to what will be a good four weeks.Along with more Caddis we should start seeing P.M.D’s any time as hatches are ahead of schedule. The trout have reaped the benefits of a mild winter,as they are all pretty chunky, nice to see.

Of course there is a lot of boat traffic, however the Missouri River handles it well,as there is a lot of river and a great trout population,it’s nice to see folks out enjoying this great resource.

the last couple of Days we did short floats allowing time to get out of the boats and fish, creating more great fishing opportunities.

It will only get better as I” bond”with the river, figuring out it’s nuances. In the meantime it’ all about the “tug” and i’ll take it any way I can get it.
