For 2026 Dave Brown Outfitters is pleased to offer small groups of intrepid Anglers an all inclusive Alberta Fly-Fishing Lodge that is nestled in some of the best trout fisheries in The Rocky Mountains.

Waterton River House can accommodate 4 Anglers with private Bedrooms which range from shared 2 person Cabins along with Chef prepared meals and served in The Main Lodge.

Since The mid -90’s Dave Brown Outfitters has been conducting Guided Fly-Fishing Trips in Southern Alberta. Our experienced Alberta Fly-Fishing Guides are 2nd to none and are more than capable of delivering an awesome Guided Alberta Fly-Fishing experience.

Within an hour’s drive there are a multitude of rivers. Depending on time of season some can be floated but most are walk & wades. These rivers and streams are a mix of technical Prairre Tailwaters that harbor Brown and Rainbow Trout to Alpine Freestones home to Cutthroat and Bull Trout. These rivers include:

The Castle River

Southern Alberta Fly-Fishing Guides – Techniques

Anglers can expect to fish a range of techniques including dealing with surface feeding trout using small hatch matching dry -flies, Fishing Foam Flies to match Golden Stonefly hatches ,and Hopper Patterns. Streamers fishing can be very productive on all rivers along with nymph fishing.

Calgary Alberta is the closest Airport with direct flights from most major U.S. Cities. Great Falls Montana is the closest U.S. Airport. If Clients are flying in and out of Calgary should spend a few days on The legendary Bow River.
