Fighting a Bow River Rainbow Trout

It’s been a hectic season ! With drought conditions over much of the West Alberta has been somewhat of a shining light ..due to good snow pack and rain making for some great Fly-Fishing Opportunities for those looking for good flows and “happy trout’. We also launched Waterton River House  a very secluded and intimate Fly-Fishing Lodge in S.W. Alberta. The Clients had a blast. The fishing has been a mix of Streamers , Some Flies and Hoppers. Now That the flows have dropped the fish are also (finally) starting to eat Caddis and May Flies. The Bow River downstream of Calgary has been producing some tank Brown Trout and for a lot of Clients they caught their PB Brown on this great river. Scroll down and enjoy the pics !
