Hooked Up on a Rainbow Trout

Rainbow Trout are probably the most wide spread trout on the planet. For the most part The native range is the Rivers flowing into the Pacific Ocean, often a mix of Resident and Anadromous aka Steelhead. There is a small native Population (Athabasca River ) in Alberta remnants that goes back to the day when that river system was connected to the Pacific. Rainbow Trout are now found on every Continent providing an abundance of good times for Anglers across the Globe. Here in North America A variety of strains has been stocked into both flowing and Stillwaters which is a topic of own, however the fact remains Rainbow Trout are the most common of the Trout Species that are caught in Western Rivers. When those pesky Brown Trout are being Dick Heads it’s nice to have the Rainbows take up the slack ! Scroll and enjoy the pics !
