- A Eur-Asian Collared Dove flying out of our Yard
Sometimes you just have to get out and just kill shit. For the Wingshooter there is nothing better than blasting away at pigeons and Eur-Asian Collared Doves, both are regarded as messy imports which regarding the later maybe competing with Mourning and White Winged Doves. When conditions and habitat is right both these birds are found in great numbers and usually in urban areas, making it difficult to hunt or shoot them. Here in Patagonia Collared Doves are all over our yard, pissing the dogs off most notably Tank who is forever pointing them.Something had to be done, when my friend,AZ G& F Biologist and Author Randy Babb invited myself and a friend to come up to Phoenix and shoot at a Dairy Farm I jumped at it.Because of the warm weather the Doves played hard to get but we did mange to knock some down.

The Pigeons came into our decoys in waves making for some fast a challenging shooting.I worked on my incoming shots something I don’t get to do a lot of,next was right to left crossers which was also fun.We had a great shoot ..can’t wait to do it again.
