Today we said goodbye to a very awesome young Dog “Lucy” who came to us via Ronnie Smith Kennels. At 2 1/2 She was way to young to go but it is what it is ,which is a total bummer.Ontop of numerous points ,backs and retrieves on a wide array of birds including Ducks, Huns ,Sharptails,Pheasants,Gambels,Mearns and Scaled Quail.Lucy also delivered a litter of four puppies that we named Rocco,Valentino,Tank and Squeaky.Thankfully we kept two.

Lucy was very mellow around the house but in the field she tore it up,often running with her buddie’s Chica,Sam or Cruz.Lucy was a perfect compliment to a big running pointer, because she worked a little more thoroughly she held her own in finds.

Lucy’s death came as a complete shock to Lisa and Myself,She went downhill in less than 24 hours, the cause was Valley Fever.

She now joins Sunny,Cochise,Clint,Jasper,Crash,Quincy,Jamie,Okie,Reba,Covey, Hilda and Zane in The land of 1000 Bird Coveys. We will sure miss Her.
